Tietze's Syndrome

Dr Alexander is currently doing research on Tietze`s Syndrome (costochondritis), which is thought to be a viral illness and responds very well to acupuncture. This can mimic a heart attack and is a recurrent pain in the middle of the chest which can be very severe.

Patients are being treated at no charge as they will be put in a case series.

Meralgia Paraesthetica

Dr Alexander is still seeing patients with Meralgia Paraesthetica from a wide catchment area which has a 98% success rate with acupuncture in her study. Discounted rates are available if financial hardship.

Coccidinia or Coccygeal Pain

In her new MSK post Dr Alexander is seeing patients with coccidinia or coccygeal pain, which can also respond well to acupuncture due to contraction of deep gluteal muscles. She is currently looking for more patients. This is a condition which can be very difficult to treat.
